WHALER’s Creation-Foster/Adopted Youth Arts and Media
Training (WHALERS) is a non-profit organization with a mission
to help build and strengthen families through collaboration,
communication, advocacy and outreach by promoting foster
care and adoption in the arts and media. "From city-to-city,
coast-to-coast, and nation-to-nation, our focus is family."

"W.H.A.L.E.R." is an acronym consisting of the first letter of the
names of our founder's parents and grandparents names:
"Willie, Hattie,  Augustus,  Lillie,  Earl,  and Rebecca". These
individuals inspired the development of WHALER's Creation by
their love and deep devotion to family.

We believe that every child, youth and young adult should have
a special bond with his/her family. Family does not always mean
biological . Sometimes it's the connections make with  others
with whom we are able to form a safe and positive connection. It
does not matter how "family" ties connect, but rather that the
connection is made with people who love us and will be there for
us as a family.
