WHALER’s Creation
Foster/Adopted Youth Arts and Media Training is a non-profit organization with a
mission to help foster/adopted youth build and strengthen families through collaboration,
communication, advocacy and outreach by promoting foster care and adoption in the
arts and media.
"From city-to-city, coast-to-coast, and nation-to-nation, our focus is FAMILY!
"W.H.A.L.E.R." is an acronym consisting of the first letter of: "Willie, Hattie, Augustus,
Lillie, Earl, and Rebecca". These individuals inspired the development of WHALER's
Creation by their love and deep devotion to family.
WHALER's Creation believe that every child, youth, young-adult and yes adults should
have a special family bond regardless if its a biological bond or not. Sometimes this bond
is made with birth families but often times it comes from a friend or with whom we are
able to form a safe and positive relationship. It does not matter how "family" ties
connect, but rather that the connection is made with people who love, supports and will
be there for life.
